What about happiness is important?

Happiness
isn't something that you can wake up and go out and get. Happiness is the state of well-being and
contentment. According to Hamblin, "happiness is an active process (para. 1)."
He means that happiness is something that you have to work for and it is not
granted to you; having to take steps to achieve happiness. This can be a reason
why many people are not happy because of how much work it takes to actually be
considered as happy. Happiness isn't something that is offered at a store or
online; meaning you can't buy or steal it, you have to work for it. According
to Hamblin, working too hard to get happiness, will result in obsessing over
you own state of mind. So basically, if you work too hard to get happiness, you
would lose your mind or you will go crazy, and if you don't work for it at all,
you will not get it. We see a complicated relationship on how someone can
actually become happy. The conclusion is that there is not specific way of
gaining happiness. Hamblin said when it comes to love, if you have to question
it, then the answer is no. what he means by this, is if you have to question
whether or not that you are happy, then the answer is no; you shouldn't have to
question your happiness, you should already know. If you are lazy and is not
willing to grasp your happiness or find it within yourself, then you will never
have happiness in your life. This ties back to the main claim because money
plays a part in happiness, but not in finding happiness. If you are rich and
really feel that you can buy your happiness, then you should rethink how you
are living because if happiness isn't sold or stolen, then what is money going
to do for your happiness?
